Gibson Fenning: Partner, Online Strategy

Gib founded the Internet marketing company Interweb in 1994. He served as head of Online Marketing Strategy for many customers, including BellSouth, Orkin, the National Park Service, CIBA Vision, Turner Entertainment, and UPS.

Interweb was acquired in 1997 by THINK New Ideas, a publicly traded, global interactive agency which was part of the Omnicom group. Gib ran a ten person e-business strategic planning group and oversaw large-scale web implementation projects for IBM, P&G, NCR, NAPA, and others. THINK New Ideas eventually became part of AnswerThink, a 3,000 person management and IT consultancy based in Philadelphia. Gib ran the e-business consulting group with 20 consultants.

Gib led planning and complex implementation projects for many clients including McGraw-Hill, Fannie Mae Foundation, IBM, and others. He oversaw a myriad of projects for the McGraw-Hill Construction division, including product value analysis, IT spending analysis and road mapping, mid-range and long-range strategic Web planning, and the creation of Construction.com, an online information network that now accounts for 80% of MHC revenues. He has worked on a variety of projects that spanned sales and marketing strategy, product development, branding, and interactive marketing. Recent clients include Pitney Bowes, Corbis, Infor, and McGraw-Hill.
